Posing & Creative Direction — Yatoma Studio

June 22 @ 9am - 12pm

Welcome to a workshop close to my heart, tailored for beginner and intermediate photographers seeking to explore the art of directing and finding confidence behind the lens. I've been on this creative journey, and I understand the challenges photographers face, especially when it comes to communicating our vision and connecting with our subjects.

Course Highlights

  • Master the Art of Posing – Get access to an exclusive PDF guide packed with dynamic, easy-to-follow posing ideas tailored for fashion, beauty, and portrait photography. Whether you're working with professional models or complete beginners, you’ll learn how to direct with confidence and capture your subject at their absolute best.

  • Creative Direction & Genuine Connection – Discover how to connect deeply with your subject and develop your own unique approach to directing. You’ll learn practical tools to bring your creative vision to life while making your model feel seen, comfortable, and empowered.

  • Hands-On Studio Test Shoot – Step into a real studio environment and put your new skills into action. Work one-on-one with a model, build your portfolio with fresh, professional images, and walk away with more confidence in your craft.

  • Composition & Shooting Techniques – Sharpen your eye and elevate your photography by exploring the core elements of strong imagery. Learn how to work with composition, angles, lines, and focal lengths to create more intentional, visually striking photos—no matter your gear or lighting setup.

Whether you're just starting out in photography or wanting to take your skills further, this workshop is all about growth and self-expression. It's a chance for us to connect, ask questions, and help you bring your creative ideas to life through professional images.

FAQ’S

  • No previous studio experience is needed. As long as yo have a basic understanding of your camera , ISO, Shutter speed and Aperture - you're all set!

  • You don’t need any high-end gear. As long as you have a DSLR or mirrorless camera that can be set to manual mode and a lens with a focal length between 24-85mm, you're good to go. I will be working alongside the group and guide you individually. All studio equipment is provided on the day!

  • Having hosted workshops for over 150 photographers, I can say the atmosphere is always incredible! Participants are always so welcoming and kind. Most attendees are fairly new to photography or have limited experience, just like you! I keep each event to a maximum of 12 people to create a relaxed and personalised environment where everyone feels seen and heard.
